The Depot Theater Company Student Division:
Destination Center Stage 2009 Summer and Fall programming
Junior Theater 101 and 201
will be offered in two different sessions this summer. Theater 101 is a pre-requisite to Theater 201.
Students who previously participated in Destination Center Stage may enroll in Theater 101 or 201.
All classes are held at the Homestead Theater, 201 E Wyatt Earp Blvd.
Junior Theater 101, 201, and 30l age level:
4th grade through 6th grade
Junior Theater 101: Session I
Saturday’s starting June 6th through July 11th (6 classes)
9:30am – 10:30am
Fee: $30/child
Beginning theater students will learn acting basics through improvisation, pantomime, and theater games.

Junior Theater 101: Session II
Saturday’s starting July 18th through August 22nd (6 classes)
11:00am – 12:00 noon
Fee: $30/child
Beginning theater students will learn acting basics through improvisation, pantomime, and theater games.

Junior Theater 201: Session I
Pre-requisite (Student participate in Destination Center Stage previously or enrolled in Theater 101.)
Saturday’s starting July 25th through August 29th (6 classes)
9:30am – 10:30am
Fee: $40/child
This class will build on Theater 101 with more great theater games and role playing. Emphasis will
be on vocal training including diction and singing. Students will memorize and recite a short monologue.

Junior Theater 20l: Session II
Pre-requisite (Student participate in Destination Center Stage previously or enrolled in Theater 101)
Saturday’s starting September 12th through October 7th (6 classes) NO class on Labor Day Weekend 11:00am – 12:00 noon
Fee: $40/child
This class will build on Theater 101 with more great theater games and role playing. Emphasis will
be on vocal training including diction and singing. Students will memorize and recite a short monologue.

Junior Theater 301: Session I
Pre-requisite (Student participate in Destination Center Stage previously or enrolled in Theater 201.)
Saturday’s starting October 24th through November 14th (4 classes-2 hours long)
10:00am – 12:00 noon
Fee: $40/child
Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! Gotta Act! Students will have the opportunity to perfect skills in all areas
of musical theater.

Junior Theater 301: Session II
Pre-requisite (Student participate in Destination Center Stage previously or enrolled in Theater 201.) Tuesday/Thursday starting October 20th through November 12th (8 classes-one hour long)
5:30pm – 6:30pm
Fee: $40/child
Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! Gotta Act! Students will have the opportunity to perfect skills in all areas
of musical theater.

Junior Theater 301 Session I and II KID’S CABARET
Saturday, November 14th, 2009
4:00pm – 6:00pm rehearsal and dinner (students only)
7:00pm Production for family and friends Tickets: $8.00

Youth Theater Camp age level: 7th through 9th grade
Youth Theater Camp I
Students will explore the process of producing a play by learning basic acting skills, dance steps and how to sell a song. They will rehearse and perform a One Act Play. Emphasis is on the learning process/not on the performance. Previous experience is not necessary.
Fee: $75.00
June 22nd – June 25th Monday - Thursday
1:00pm – 4:00pm
Friday, June 26th 2:00pm – 7:00pm
Rehearse, set up, enjoy dinner and perform for family and friends.
